Weight Loss Surgery

Dr. Farida Bounoua provides a program that achieves great long-term outcome for patients. We believe strongly in comprehensive preoperative education and ongoing postoperative support in order to maximize patients' long-term success.
To help insure that success, we have created a patient process to guide our patients before, during, and after their surgery. Each patient will receive a handbook that offers a comprehensive overview of bariatric surgery and provides resource information and guidance regarding related nutrition, exercise, and support groups. We are confident that our handbook will provide answers to many of your questions throughout the weight-loss process.

Weight loss surgery should never be viewed as a cure, but as a “tool” towards achieving long term weight loss. That is why our commitment to you is to provide the proper education, training, and support necessary to optimize the use of this tool.
General Surgery

Minimally Invasive Surgery & Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS)

Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic Surgery) is done through small incisions using specialized techniques, miniature cameras with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights and high definition monitors. Surgeons in many specialties perform surgery through an incision that requires only a stitch or two to close.

Dr. Bounoua offers the Single Incision Scarless Surgery (SILS). For more information call the office.

For patients, Minimally Invasive Surgery means less trauma to the body, less blood loss, smaller surgical scars and less need for pain medication. Patients leave the hospital sooner after Minimally Invasive Surgery and return to normal activities sooner than with conventional open surgery.
